Oppo F1 Plus Review, Specifications & Other Features (16MP Front Camera)

Oppo had launched Oppo F1 in the Indian market few months ago, it was the first ever camera-centric phone by the company. After the good response it received from the public, the company has decided to launch the upgraded model of the same called Oppo F1 Plus.

It should be noted that Oppo F1 Plus is not a new device by the company, instead it is the Oppo R9 which was launched in March in China which has been rebranded as Oppo F1 Plus for the international markets.

16 MP Front camera

The biggest attraction of this phone is its top-notch  16 MP front camera. It is the first time where the front camera sensor is having more Mega Pixels than the rear camera sensor. The front 16MP shooter comes with a 78.1 degree wide angle lens with an aperture of f/2.0. Whereas on the back the device has got a 13MP camera with LED flash and an f/2.2 aperture.

4K Video Recording

The device also comes with PDAF technology that allows the camera to focus on subjects within fraction of seconds. Oppo F1 Plus also supports 4k video recording.

Finger Print sensor

In terms of design and UI, the phone is uncannily similar to the iPhone 6. The phone also sports a fingerprint sensor in the home button that sits below the display. According to the company, this is not an average fingerprint sensor, it allows the phone to be unlocked within just 0.2 seconds.

Processor & RAM

Oppo F1 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, it is half inch bigger than its predecessor; Oppo F1. Beneath the back panel you get an octa core Helio P10 processor by MediaTek clocked at 2 GHz which has been coupled with 4GB RAM.

Operating System (OS)

The device runs on a custom OS named ColorOS which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The camera app, home screen, settings and a lot of other things look like iOS.

Oppo F1 Plus Storage Capacity

Oppo F1 Plus will only come with a single storage variant i.e. 64GB storage which could be further expanded up to 128GB. This phone will be juiced by a 2850mAh battery and will support dual-SIM with a hybrid SIM slot. Just like the other Oppo devices, F1 Plus is said to come with VOOC fast charge that can charge the device up to 2 hours of talk time within just 5 minutes.

Oppo F1 Plus will go on sale for Rs. 26,990 starting from mid-April and would be available in two colors; Gold and Rose Gold.
